I was never a traditionally dedicated student, but I have always been a dedicated creator. Throughout my life, teachers, family members, and friends recognized my creative potential and helped nurture it, forming the supportive ecosystem that continues to sustain my practice today. Their belief in me shaped both who I am and how I teach.

Their belief in me shaped both who I am and how I teach.
I am currently pursuing a degree in Art Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I am committed to developing an inclusive, student-centered classroom. I hope to create learning spaces where children feel seen, supported, and empowered to belong—just as I was through art.

I am an acrylic painter who also works in graphite, charcoal, and ink. My practice is highly planned and rooted in sustained sketchbook work, where ideas are developed, revised, and resolved before moving to canvas. I begin each painting with a charcoal underdrawing, which I seal and ground with a base layer of Phthalo Cayenne Blue.

Acrylic allows me to build quickly over this structure, layering and reworking imagery while maintaining a fast, focused pace. Through this process, my paintings hold both intention and movement—carefully constructed yet responsive to the material process.

Nature’s quiet details, often overlooked, become central in my practice and are gently romanticized through mark, color, and repetition.
I am an acrylic painter who also works in graphite, charcoal, and ink. My process is rooted in careful planning and sustained sketchbook work. Each painting begins with a charcoal underdrawing that is sealed and grounded with a base layer of Phthalo Cayenne Blue. From there, fluid brushstrokes and layered imagery emerge, creating surfaces that feel both intentional and dreamlike. I hope my work invites viewers to pause, linger, and notice the subtle beauty that exists in everyday life.
